1852-1918

G.W. Binney & Sons was established in Auckland in 1852 as general merchants and commission agents.

By 1915 the company was engaged in wool broking and two new wool stores were built to house the accumulation of wool, in Kings Drive and The Strand.

In 1918 the company was purchased by Abraham & Williams Ltd.
